Yes, you read that correctly. Those words came out of my mouth this very morning.
Yesterday afternoon I received a call from another OB in my OB's practice who had reviewed my chart and decided I should come in today to pick up a 24-hour urine sample kit. Fun stuff. So, I go in and get the bright orange jug and am told to use it each time I go to the bathroom for the next 24 hours oh, and keep it cold. Great. So now, not only do I have to collect my pee, but I get to store it next to the orange juice.
On my health, my doctor and I had a long discussion about how he doesn't see there's any problem other than gestational hypertension and doesn't suspect pre-eclampsia. He understands I'm delivering via C-section on Thursday and he is "covering his tail." So, I think I'm fine and this is all for show. No one wants to be the one who gets the blame if something is missed.
If something does come of this test then she may come as early as ..... WEDNESDAY. Wow, a whole day early. I'm annoyed in case you can't tell.
Have a great Monday!!!
Definitely annoying!! Not fun collecting (and storing, and delivering to lab) URINE! ......all for one day! Pregnancy--it's never boring, is it?! : )
ReplyDeleteYes, annoying. And especially since I'm already scheduled for surgery on Thursday morning. I don't think in my situation that 24 hours will make much of a difference.
DeleteHope no one mistakes it for lemonade!
ReplyDeleteOh, Ollie's been very curious about it all. Especially the part where we keep it in the fridge behind the jug of orange juice...and it's in an orange jug.
